We have a treat for you all. We know that a week in between episodes is very long especially when you are still figuring out the story line. So in order to keep everyone from bringing out the torches and pitch forks we have created Backspace Singularities!

Basically it is a short "funny pages" like comic strip aside from the main volume currently going on. You can find these on the comics page under the Volume One comics. The first singularity is in response to the newly released Punch Out for the Wii. I am sure Jeremy will talk more about this later since he is the NES Punch Out freak.

Speaking of new games based on the classics, I want to mention that the Capcom classic Bionic Commando has been updated and is out in the public. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to check it out and let you know how it is. All this talk about games is getting me pumped up for game night tonight! Will it be NHL '09 tonight? Or maybe Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Maybe even Left 4 Dead. Oh the possibilities!

I hope your enjoying the comic this week!

I suppose i'm obligated to talk a little bit about episode three. I'm doing this the night before so i don't have to rack my brain thoughts in the morning. And yes, that's Abe Lincoln; rather, that's a form of Abe Lincoln- codename: Action Abe! His origin story is coming up which explains more so... be patient. :)

Not that the background plot for a 21st century cyborg Abe Lincoln really matters in this realm of of absurdity, but ya'know, i'm just throwing it out there.

The Action Abe concept actually goes back a few years to 2003. Kyle and myself wrote a short script for a comedy club we were both in (Casey was there too- lurking) and we ending up shooting it as a video. We basically lifted parts of the script with some revisions and turned that into what you're reading in the comic; only now we can have ninja's and stunt doubles and sound effects everywhere, which is pretty boss.

Since then there's been quite a bit of interest in Licoln slaying vampires, flipping out with mountain dew, and fighting zombies amongst other things. So our once radical 'fresh' idea is a bit stale, the price of being shelved for a few years obviously. It's still pretty funny concept we get a chuckle out of though, and we'll definately be brining Action Abe back for a few more epic battles.

I think we might have a small surprise coming up soon as well. We've also been chatting about doing a contest to boost the promotion of the comic, more on that as we cook up some ideas.
