This is based on a true story (minus the fire, death and mongols) Kyle and myself used to walk the streets of our town all the time as everything is pretty much in walking distance. Movies, video store, convenient store, etc. Sometimes late at night we’d see a group of 8 year old kids riding their bikes around, like a whole gang of them; we always wondered what they could be up to at 11 o’clock at night (and if their parents knew or cared if they were out).
So it came up in conversation last week while running through the idea list we keep and i wanted to try and do something with it. Kyle decided that he knew exactly what they were up to and how it all came about. If you read this week’s comic then you get the picture. The mongols were there to hammer home the whole ‘plunder, kill’ idea and Techno Viking shows up to show everyone who’s boss and because he’s totally awesome.
I hope someone reads deep into this comic and finds some political statement to run with. There isn’t one, but i guess it could be construed otherwise. See you next week.
